.~ MERRY COVID CHRISTMAS! ~.
The Delta & Omicron variants have caused a spike in new COVID cases in Bucks County in the last 7 days. Churches have received new guidance to keep members, leaders, and neighbors safe as we worship this Christmas. To protect one another from the COVID virus and the Delta & Omicron variants, we will follow the new suggestions from the SEPA Synod and request your help to ensure that this is a safe & joyous Christmas! 1) WEAR A MASK! 2) Windows will be open for ventilation. 3) Please refrain from physical contact (hugging, handshaking) with people outside your household. 4) Sing & speak in soft whisper tones when inside the church. 5) Use hand sanitizer. (Bottles located throughout the church building.) 6) Communion will be administered using safety-sealed individual cups. 7) The service will conclude outside where we will gather around the Nativity scene to sing "Silent Night" & light contactless LED candles. |

Sunday Dec 19, 2021 * 4th Sunday in Advent
The Advent Wreath
One of the best-known customs for the season is the Advent wreath. The wreath and winter candle-lighting in the midst of growing darkness strengthen some of the Advent images found in the Bible. The unbroken circle of greens is clearly an image of everlasting life, a victory wreath, the crown of Christ, or the wheel of time itself. Christians use the wreath as a sign that Christ reaches into our time to lead us to the light of everlasting life. The four candles mark the progress of the four weeks of Advent and the growth of light. Sometimes the wreath is embellished with natural dried flowers or fruit. Its evergreen branches lead the household and the congregation to the evergreen Christmas tree. In many homes, the family gathers for prayers around the wreath.

NOTE: You may use this resource to light the candles or apply the sticker on your home Advent wreath as we light the Church’s wreath online or use it as a family activity. (L = Leader / R = Response)
Use this blessing when lighting the Fourth candle.
L Blessed are you, O Lord our God, ruler of the universe.
In your Son, Emmanuel,
you have shown us your light
and saved us from the power of sin.
Bless us as we light the candles on this wreath.
Increase our longing for your presence,
that at the celebration of your Son’s birth
his Spirit might dwell anew in our midst,
for he is our light and our salvation.
Blessed be God forever.
C Amen.

The names of other people who are dear to us will also be included in this morning's service. If you're worshiping at home & wish to add the name of a family member or friend, place a candle and a holder in your Home Worship Space before the service begins. Sunday Oct 31st, 2021 * Reformation Day
“So if the Son makes you free, you
will be free indeed.” John 8:36
We are celebrating Reformation Day TODAY, October 31, the 504th anniversary of the day Martin Luther posted 95 Theses (or "Disputation of Doctor Martin Luther on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences") which are theological opinions that he wanted to debate with representatives of the Roman Catholic Church. Instead, his ideas were printed as pamphlets that were widely circulated far beyond the city of Wittenberg and began the Protestant Reformation. Luther's arguments and writings were condemned & burned and he was excommunicated by the Church. Join us as we celebrate Luther's music, life, faith and consider how Christ's Church continues to be reformed today! Wear something RED ~ join the celebration!
